Life Update and Quarantine

Hey there! It has been quite some time since I have been able to catch up with my photography pages, including the blog. Being a college student, it can be hard to juggle everything life throws at you. I still have been keeping up with my photography skills, however. I have been able to have the wonderful opportunity of photographing real events for clients and people I know. When getting started, it is a great opportunity to be apart of events that your friends or family are in to get your name out there. With the quarantine and social distancing, I am able to slow down and pick up the pieces that were lost from what life threw at me. This is a more personal blog because it is an important time to be there for each other. This is not an easy thing to get through for anyone. Thank you to all of our essential workers, and I want to send out my support to those who lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
If you need to get out of the house, or just get out in general, go to your backyard and make a photography game out of it! Are there any flowers starting to bloom? Do the trees have buds on them? What colors do you see? Look at the object in your yard from a different point of view. Make something that you are so used to into an adventure! If you have kids, this might be a good activity from them to get out and do as well! Make it into a scavenger hunt with photos! You might find something new! You can also take photos of the difference the quarantine makes, or doesn't make, in your local area. Compare and contrast. Where I am currently social distancing, it does not look quite like a ghost town as I thought it would be. Some parts are packed, but only during the day. Other parts looks as though they have already been abandoned for years. At night though, it looks eerie and empty. No stores are open past 8 p. m. on the weekdays. Take pictures on how this effected your life.
Feel free to visit my Facebook page, Luoma Photography, and post your backyard photos or quarantine photos. I would love to see them.
Stay healthy and safe. Think of others, along with yourself. Stay positive, you're not alone in this.
Sending my love and support.
Thank you.
